them all! Book DiscussionsJoin Library staff and spend a morning, afternoon or evening in lively conversation to stretch your mind over an interesting book. We have a variety of book discussions to choose from. Books that we discuss will be available at the circulation desk one month prior to the discussion. New readers are always welcome and encouraged to join us. Upcoming selections are listed on our upcoming events page. Readers' AdvisoryReaders' Advisory is a patron-oriented service committed to promoting life long reading enjoyment. We share and talk about books and are more than happy to suggest good titles. We have award winners, mysteries, romance, suspense, historical, family saga, Christian fiction, gentle reads, classics, literary fiction, holiday fiction, westerns, fantasy, science fiction and horror novels. These books are available in regular print, large print and audio book formats! Visit the Adult Services desk (next to the fiction collection) for your next great read! Check out our ever changing book displays for further reading suggestions. A free audio book resource for residents of Illinois who are blind or visually challenged is Unabridged. Homebound DeliveryThis is a service for the homebound with a temporary hardship due to a major illness, or an ongoing need due to physical handicap or long-term illness. Patrons who are homebound should call upon this service. Homebound service is offered to residents of Lansing. Please contact the Adult Services Desk 708-474-2447 for further information. Register to vote!Visit Cook County Elections for more information. Patrons may register to vote at the Adult Circulation desk or the Readers' Advisory Desk with proper I.D. Only a few staff members are authorized to register voters. Please call ahead to verify someone will be able to register you. Notary ServiceOnly one staff member is a registered Notary Public.
