What is Readers' Advisory?

Readers' Advisory is a patron-oriented service committed to promoting life long reading enjoyment. We share and talk about books and are more than happy to suggest good titles. We have award winners, mysteries, romance, suspense, historical, family sagas, Christian fiction, gentle reads, classics, literary fiction, holiday fiction, westerns, fantasy, science fiction and horror novels. These books are available in regular print, large print and audio book formats! Stop by the Adult Services desk (next to the fiction collection) for your next great read!

NoveList Plus

NoveList Plus NoveList Plus *Lansing Library Card Required

What is it? NoveList Plus includes information on 50,000 non-fiction titles in addition to nearly 160,000 fiction titles previously covered by NoveList. This database provides subject heading access, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 125,000 fiction titles. It also includes other content of interest to fiction readers, such as Author Read-alikes, What We're Reading, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists.

Using NoveList Plus
To Request Items: After you find a title that interest you, look for the link that connects directly to our Library Catalog! You can place your own requests! If we don't own the title, we'll be happy to borrow it from another library for you. Visit the Adult Services Desk for assistance, or phone (ext. 122) or send them an IM!
Cost: Free!
Note: users must have a valid Lansing Library Card in our database to use this resource. Our contract with NoveList Plus does not allow us to grant access to users from other towns.
